The 1964/1965 New York World's Fair is noted as a showcase of mid-20th-century American culture and technology, with the automobile near the pinnacle of its power and prestige.

To honor this immense fair of over 140 pavilions and 110 restaurants across 646 acres, the original location hosted a tribute event exactly half a century later.
